So… What Is Prime?
Prime is a small-group training program built for real people with real lives—people juggling work, families, and changing bodies. It’s inspired by CrossFit’s principles (constantly varied, functional movement, performed at an intensity that works for you), but it’s tailored to meet the needs of adults navigating midlife.
You won’t find high-impact/damaging movements or workouts that push you to the floor gasping. Instead, you’ll find:
- Strength training that protects joints, builds lean muscle, and improves bone density
- Cardiovascular work that supports heart health and keeps energy levels high
- Mobility and stability training to help you move well and stay injury-free
- Coaches who understand how hormonal shifts, stress, and recovery needs evolve with age
Whether you’re peri-menopausal, managing an old injury, or just haven’t trained in years, we meet you where you’re at—and help you build from there.
What a Typical Session Looks Like
Our Prime program runs in conjunction with our regular CrossFit programming. Every class starts with a fun, simple warm-up to get you moving and loosen stiff joints (hello, hips and shoulders!). From there, we generally move into strength training — think squats, deadlifts, presses, and pulling movements — tailored to your level.
Then, we finish with a manageable conditioning workout. This might include rowing, biking, bodyweight movements, or dumbbells/barbells — nothing that is going to compromise joint and muscle integrity, and everything can be modified.
We wrap up with stretching, recovery tips, and a good laugh with your classmates (yes, community is a big part of Prime!).
But I’ve Never Done Anything Like This Before…
Perfect. Most of our Prime members hadn’t either when they first walked in. We’ve had folks join us after years of sitting at a desk, after finishing rehab for an injury, or simply because they wanted to feel better in their skin.
You’ll be supported, coached, and encouraged every step of the way—never judged or left behind.
